Filtering out edited posts

Each edit creates a new post with a new ID, and Powerstream delivers every version that matches your rules. Add -is:edit to a rule to receive only the first version of each post.
  • is:edit matches the later versions in an edit chain. The original post is never is:edit, so -is:edit still delivers it when it’s posted.
  • A negated operator applies only to the term next to it. cat OR dog -is:edit means cat OR (dog -is:edit). To exclude edits for every term, group them: (cat OR dog) -is:edit.
  • If a keyword appears only in the edited text, -is:edit delivers nothing for that post: the original doesn’t match, and the edit is excluded.
  • Reposts, quotes, and replies of an edited post aren’t edits themselves, so -is:edit doesn’t exclude them.
To identify edits in the posts you receive instead of filtering them out, see Edited posts.
